Since posting my first video on YouTube where I posed the question, “Is 53 too old to become an airline pilot?“, my life has been kind of a whirlwind.
Since then, the following things happened:
- I enrolled in flight school, earned 7 pilot ratings, and then built a crazy successful business as a flight instructor
- Just 13 months after starting my training, I received a job offer from the largest US regional airline and I start my jet training with them in Feb 2025
- My YouTube channel became insanely popular with tens of thousands of other career 2.0 folks who’d dreamt of becoming airline pilots
- I earned just over $167,000 in 12 months as an independent CFI and content creator.
From February through to the beginning of April, I’ll be fully immersed in my jet training class and earning my first type rating so I can fly the ERJ 175.
After that, I’ll be working toward using my free time to further develop my investments in real estate…and you can bet I’ll be sharing that journey on YouTube as well.
